Not everyone can play by the rules. Bereft of great strength or silver tongue, you rely on your keen instincts and fast hands to keep you alive. Where others see obstacles, you find opportunities and exploit them ruthlessly. Honor is a luxury you can’t afford, and any dirty trick will do in a pinch.

Starting Equipment: Leather doublet (Light Armor), 3 Daggers, Lockpicks

Suggested Skills: Arsonist, Drunkard, Tinker

Each Scoundrel Template grants you +1 Mastery and +1 mental slot.

A: Lucky, Tools of the Trade

B: Opportunist

C: Always Prepared

D: Snag

Lucky

Spend Mastery points to benefit yourself, instead of just your allies.

Tools of the Trade

Gain the Locksmith and Pickpocket Skills at Rank 1.

Opportunist

Whenever you have at least one net Boon to a Violence Test, you can choose to deal 1d3 Flesh damage instead of your normal damage on a success.

Always Prepared

In town, spend any amount of money to buy an Unlabeled Package. When the package is opened, or when it leaves your possession, you must declare what it contains. It must be a mundane item worth no more than what you paid for it and occupy an appropriate number of inventory slots.

Snag

After attacking an opponent, or after an opponent attacks you, Test Agility to grab a single item from them. Succeed or fail, they are aware of your attempt. Doesn’t work on items that are held or tightly worn.

Outside of combat, you may succeed at this automatically when walking past someone. However, you have a 1-in-6 chance of being noticed each time you do it.
